Optical visualization as an effective tool for studying the flow structure in a small-sized centrifugal electric pump

The article is devoted to the substantiation of need for optical visualization structure a 2-dimensional flow in small-sized centrifugal electric pumps spacecraft thermal control system. Reducing size interblade channels pump impeller makes it impossible use traditional methods sensing due disturbances introduced by probes. Due lack experimental data, study flows small pumps, model developed full-size used. most common these are Euler jet or two-zone jet-trail model. Studies numerical based on models cannot be verified adequacy real data necessary validate results obtained. Under such conditions, methods, particular, using method indicator washable coatings near-wall layer becomes important. This describes: 1) technology imaging; 2) structural elements flow, which identified patterns layer; 3) impellers with diameter 41·10 - 3 m. New obtained under regimes non-self-similar zone Reynolds number relative motion.
